THE VICTORIA is a pub opened on John Bright St in the 1950s, having survived being managed (in the loosest sense of the word!) by M & B and Admiral Taverns, she is now in independent hands and still stands today as testament to the attraction of our nation's pubs. THE VICTORIA is what we like to call 'your local independent pub-brought up to date'. Gone are the shackles of brewery branding and generic offering. Bored are we of the next beige and brown gastro blah blah blah. Yes, it is a pub but we like to think we are a bit off the wall with Bohemia meets cosmopolitan, our blend of historical character blended with today's tastes, interesting liquid libations to quench everyone's palate, warm surroundings, friendly service and value for your hard earned sterling. Musically we are not bound by stereotypical genre, we play the stuff you like both live and via local DJs but don't take our word for it, come and visit...soon.
