"The Brace" is the very definition of a traditional rural country Inn. The building is 16th Century and a former Blacksmiths along with 2 cottages. In the 1950's the building was converted to a pub although sadly in 1979 it burnt down. The pub was rebuilt but without any accommodation. When Phil and Carol Bennett took over in 2006, they converted the old skittle alley which had been unused for many years as well as the upstairs of the pub into 4* accommodation. The Brace now has 8 4* bed and Breakfast letting rooms. Fantastic food and fine wines as well as beers served straight from the cask are all part of the experience at the Brace. We pride ourselves on serving local produce, aiming to source all our food and drinks as closely as possible. We offer a daily changing menu and specials board to offer our customers only fresh and seasonal food. With the rolling Dorset countryside just outside our front door why not pop in for a bite to eat after a walk or book one of our rooms to really give you time to explore the stunning Dorset countryside and coast.
