Judy Garland and Clint Eastwood used to drink here. Yes, you read that right. A traditional British pub in a quiet street on the Isle of Dogs was the most talked-about pub on the Island, attracting big names who would grace the bar and stage. Nowadays, the recently refurbished Great Eastern pub offers traditional British food in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. In addition to the bar, the Brunel Coffee Lounge is open daily from 7am serving quality teas, coffees and pastries. It’s a great space for functions and parties, and can be hired privately for your special event. The kitchen serves up traditional British fare cooked to an exceptional quality, all made on site. When the kitchen closes, we offer our amazing pizzas (you can order them to take-away too!). This East End Pub has an impressive history which the locals will happily tell you about.
