A fabulous historic community local located in Halstead and run by the Saint Arnold Group, owners of the Five Bells in Colne Engaine and the Lion in Earls Colne.

Pulled back from the grave “the Griff” is what is commonly known as a “Back Street Gem” all the best bits and charm of a Boozer with none of the negatives. “It’s where nice people meet in Halstead”, “I finally have somewhere I can take the wife and have a beer” are just some of the great things being said about it. Craft Ales straight from the cask, Wine straight from fantastic growers all served with bundles of smiles in a stylish simple pub.
