The Red Lion, set near the river in Water End, is our modern interpretation of an original Public House... a warm and friendly meeting place, serving great food and drink all day to local people, businesses, families and visitors.

The Red Lion combines comfort, atmosphere and style in a building that dates back to the early 1700's. The original listed building has been renovated sympathetically to create a warm and cosy bar with open fires and the more modern part of the building showcasing Oakman Inns & Restaurants' signature open kitchen and airy and contemporary restaurant. For the warmer months, this opens into a stylish outside paved area for alfresco dining. Join us for breakfast, morning coffee or tea, and a selection of fresh cakes and pastries. Enjoy a range of Mediterranean-inspired lunches or dinners, featuring dishes grilled in our charcoal-fuelled Josper oven and genuine Italian hand-made pizzas cooked in our wood-fired pizza oven. Our bar is open all day, with an extensive list of wines, beers, real ales and cocktails.
