The beverages sold now are slightly stronger, and the visitor may care to rest here to sample the brew and admire the view over Loughton and beyond to the Thames and the Kent Hills.' These days, the Gardeners Arms remains a popular destination for those looking to find good food and fine ales set in convivial surroundings. It also serves as a vibrant local pub in the true sense of the word, and regularly hosts live entertainment and themed evenings.
