The John Baird, named after the inventor of the television, is located in the centre of Muswell Hill, North London. This quality North London local pub was refurbished recently and offers a safe, friendly and relaxed place to eat and drink. We offer up to eight Real Ales and traditional scrumpy on the hand pump, over 20 new and old world wines, continental draught and bottled lagers and a wide selection of soft drinks - we are proud to be in the 'Good Beer Guide' and have achieved 'Cask Marque' status. Our Mediteranean-style beer garden offers seating for at least 50 people, and includes a covered and heated smoking area. We show all live football and rugby on our large LCD's and big screen, and we also have the best food in Muswell Hill with our 44 seat restaurant housing 'The Black Orchid' Thai Restaurant. We have a very popular Sunday night quiz each week!! You can win £100!! Get involved! We have a baby changing facility and a disabled toilet. Children are allowed in the bar until 7 PM, under the supervision of a responsible adult, and in the restaurant until 9 PM. For adults we operate a '21 and over' policy.
