Column Bakehouse is a place to meet, eat, break bread and bake bread. Come with old friends and leave with a few new ones too. We use locally sourced ingredients to produce hand crafted wholesome, tasty and nutritious food for you, because we care.

The Column Bakehouse is an award-winning* artisan bakery open from Mondays to Saturdays from 10am until 4pm and serves homemade bread, cakes, pastries, soup and more lunchtime treats. We pride ourselves on quality, reasonably priced and, most importantly, delicious food! We use fresh, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, supporting local farmers and traders – everything we sell is made or baked in-house. Come and try ‘Souper Tuesdays’ where you can enjoy a bowl of tasty homemade soup and chunks of fresh Column Bakehouse bread for only £3.00. Head down for our popular ‘Pizza Fridays’, where you can have freshly prepared pizza dough with a variety of toppings from only £2.00 a slice. We are currently developing our Column Bakehouse offer and expanding our artisan bakery. As well as baking fresh food in-house, we have started to provide our handcrafted bread to local cafés, shops and markets, including the Fairport stall at Plymouth City Market.
