Welcome to The Mitre Convivial London Pubs is proud to own this Grade II listed Coaching Inn offering three bars, a beer garden, conservatory, function room and 15 en suite bedrooms. The Mitre Hotel was first opened in the 1700's as a coffee shop. It closed down briefly as a result of a fire and re-opened in 1827 as a coaching inn and has been serving the people of Greenwich and its visitors ever since! It is now recognised by the English Heritage as an important historical site in south-east London. The Mitre Hotel is one of Greenwich's most loved meeting places and run like a family business, but with all the professional care and attention you expect. The Mitre is a great base for exploring the local area. Learn about Britain's seafaring history at the National Maritime Museum, discover the home of Greenwich Mean Time, or explore antiques and collectibles markets. Also within a short distance door to door by bus you have the 02 Millennium dome one of London’s most visited attractions. Apart from our three bars, we are also proud of our: Function Room | Bedrooms Our Conservatory If you are looking for a smaller but unique venue for a birthday party, leaving party or just a small get-together, then our conservatory is the ideal place. Catering can be arranged on request and up to 30 guests can can be seated in private. For our residents there is a private lounge where they can enjoy a quieter drink if they wish. Please note that we operate a strict non smoking policy in all upper floor rooms.
