The Pyrotechnists Arms (or The Pyro as it is commonly known by the locals), is a friendly, traditional pub serving fine ales, wines and spirits and is especially known for its excellent Guinness and is situated in the heart of the recently regenerated area of Nunhead, right beside Nunhead Green, As a sports and music venue there are regular live music and karaoke nights (see our events page for details) three large TV screens for the big sporting events including GAA, a darts board and a pool room. The venue also boasts two large beer garden and smoking areas front and rear. The Pyrotechnists Arms was named as it was very close to what is thought to have been the oldest British firework manufacturer, Brocks Fireworks which dates back to the early 18th century. There is even a legend that Guy Fawkes himself drank here, although this is hard to prove.
