The Red Cat is a great British pub in Merseyside. We serve traditional pub food as well as our Flame Grill specialities. This page is moderated.

On the site of The Red Cat as we know it today was a small pub called The New Inn, We are unsure as to when The New Inn started as a public house but it was already established when the Tithe Map was produced in 1849. The cluster of building around the pub included a cattle market and a function hall, the lane to Homestead farm leading to the path to Saughall Massie started behind the pub, this lane was known locally as “Pullens Lane”
