An Idyllic Country Pub serving freshly prepared and locally sourced homemade food accompanied by great beers, wines, spirits with a side order of friendly staff and customers. The Chequers Inn has been under new ownership since March 2012 where we have tastefully restored the pub to create a relaxing and cosy atmosphere. The Menu has been redesigned to serve quality 'pub grub' with a contemporary twist alongside a relaxed fine dining offering. We work on simple principles: - All our food is locally sourced (where possible) and freshly made - We want our customers to feel valued everytime they visit us - We aim to be the best in everything we do - If it's not good enough for us, we don't expect it to be good enough for you - We want you to be so impressed with our offering that you become advocates of The Checkers. Oh, one more thing, we don't take ourselves to seriously at the Chequers so we don't expect you to either. We love our Pub! Our customers love our pub, and we want 'Our' pub to become 'Your' Pub!
